The COmmune anarchy
The Commune Anarchy is an anarchy server, meant to answer one question: When people are given total anarchy in a virtual world, what would they do? Well, you can help us answer that question! Absolutely everything on this server is completely allowed, the only bannable offence is intentionally lagging the server. Most bans are forgivable, and you can protest a ban by discord DMing Anonis#1028 in order to revise your ban.
The Commune is meant to be a small scale anarchy server, a server that still gives you the anarchy experience, without an overwhelmingly large player base, and without all of the large group politics.

As more and more newer players joined the server, some decided to establish their own hegemony over it. Their foremost? A player by the name of Aucto, who used his precise diplomatic skills to turn his faction, Aristaeus, into the premier newfag alliance on the server. This alliance grew so large that it attracted the attention of even powerful veterans, like Kaisa and Assasin. Assasin was friendly with Aucto and helped him out, but after a small dispute with Kaisa’s friend Spaceglider, the Veteran faction, named the Imperium, declared war on Aristaeus.
However, it is very important that first, we discuss what drives the politics of the Commune. Similar to how the politics of the real world are driven by whichever factions have oil and nuclear weapons, the politics of the Commune are driven by whichever factions have God Armor and good warriors, both of which were very rare resources in the Commune. Aristaeus was initially just another random newfag faction, but when people who had decent crystal pvp experience - like clad178 and Zimil - started joining the faction. The oldfags, who had reigned unchallenged for eight months, ever since the Kaisin war ramped down, wanted a fight against a decently sized opponent. So, they declared war on Aristaeus. Using [Redacted], they found the base of Aristaeus within days of war being declared, and Assasin flew over to the base and set his bed nearby. The morale of both sides was very high, and the two factions intermingled with each other a lot. Clad was extremely close friends with Assasin, who was also close friends with Aucto, leader of Aristaeus. So, nobody really anticipated the war to really turn into something that would shape the server. All they really wanted was to appear in the vaunted Server History, on TCA’s website. That was the only real goal behind the war. Well, they completed that goal. And they did a lot more than that, too. On Saturday, February the twelfth, Anonis, the admin of the server, logged on for some routine maintenance. As was normally the custom, he chose a random string of numbers and letters as his password, and banned the account from the server when he was done, so that nobody else would be able to exploit the admin account. After a few minutes, however, he needed to log on again. Once more, he chose a random string of numbers and letters as his password, but this time, he needed to restart the server to accomplish something. When he re - logged in to the server, he didn’t know the password to the account, since he’d keyboard smashed in order to get it in the first place. So, he banned the account, and created a new one. This time, he set the password to be the same as the username, so that he wouldn’t forget it when he needed to relog in. The problem was, once he logged off, he forgot to ban the account. Big mistake. Clad178, who had been watching, decided to randomly see what would happen if he logged in, and found out that the account was unbanned. Soon, several members of Aristaeus logged in as the admin account, trying to figure out the password, until finally, they realized that the password was simply the username. The server had faced backdoors before, but this was the first time that a backdoor had been created directly through the sheer stupidity of the admin. Aristaeus had somehow managed to turn the tide of the war completely: they teleported themselves directly to the Imperium’s megabase, known as Kai City, and griefed it. One year in the making, among the largest bases on the server, Kai City fell within an hour, its various massive builds and powerful fortresses being destroyed by griefers that had gamemode creative and operator status. Clad178, who had always been a member of Kai City, simply watched as dozens of hours of his work was obliterated by members of his own faction. Clad, like Kaisa, was an honorary oldfag who was held in high esteem by Assasin and the Imperium. But he could do nothing to stop Aristaeus, who not only destroyed Kai City, but also went ahead and attacked Yonderbean’s Angel Tower. Yonderbean was perhaps the only player on the server who is universally respected by everyone on the server. He is famous for his public builds and his lavacast towers, as well as his exceeding niceness in an anarchy server. Yonderbean was completely neutral in the war. He had never made any aggressive moves towards either side. And yet, not only was his base at Angel Tower obliterated, his top secret, server donator only base, The Donators, was also griefed by Aristaeus. In a matter of two hours, Aristaeus had griefed three of the most prestigious bases on the server, one of which was even a legitimate Megabase. By the time all of the members of the Imperium even realized what was happening, the fallout from the builds was falling all over the server, as players suddenly realized that the war had gone from a joke, to a full blown server wide conflict. Kaisa quit the server, though he’d return quickly. Drawn back by the dozens of pings, the admin finally patched the backdoor and removed everyone’s operator status and creative gamemode. By the time Assasin logged on, he’d convinced both Clad and Yonderbean to join the Imperium, and Clad, his shock and sadness at losing his home turning into rage, went to Aristaeus’ new backdoor stash, and griefed it completely. Simultaneously, Assasin himself launched a surprise attack on Aristaeus’ primary base, entering a seven versus one battle against the members of Aristaeus. Assasin killed five of them before a player named Daneal used strength 255, acquired during the backdoor, and put a stop to Assasin’s rampage. Aucto tried to have the base evacuated, but during the battle with Assasin, Clad had secretly snuck in and griefed the base, blowing up most of the backdoor items. Essentially, Aucto’s faction attacked a neutral party, and were then taken by surprise when the neutral party fought back. Defeated, Aristaeus withdrew in disorganized chaos, fleeing to a secondary base where Aucto planned to move the last of the items they’d acquired during the backdoor. Within days, though, Assasin located this base as well, and the last of the backdoored items (aside from the ones in the players’ enderchests) were destroyed as Aristaeus’ final base fell. Homeless, deserted by the server that they’d betrayed, Aristaeus was disbanded by its defeated leader Aucto, ending the short yet dramatic Imperium - Aristaeus war. Although Aristaeus ended up winning the first battle of the war and managed to deal considerable damage to the morale of the Imperium, the powerful Oldfag led counterattack was too much for the newbies to handle, and they quit soon after Aucto’s surrender. A post mortem analysis of Aristaeus would reveal that they tried to accomplish far too much, and angered far too many people. Rather than use their backdoor sparingly and wisely, they used it like a club in the hand of a drunk person, bludgeoning everything in sight. Rather than create multiple stashes to where they could fall back and regroup in case of a defeat, they only made two. Rather than take advantage of the server’s underlying emotions against the often arrogant and disliked oldfags, Aristaeus became the arrogant ones themselves, allowing the server to unite behind the Imperium. Rather than challenge the hegemony of the Oldfags, Aristaeus’ short existence merely solidified the Imperium’s power over the server. Aristaeus became complacent after their supposed victory in the battle of Kai City, and the resulting battle of Aristaeus Base was simply a reminder to not let distractions take up all of one’s focus, because Assasin’s only job during the battle was to allow Clad to infiltrate the base and take out its supply of illegals and backdoored goods. Ultimately, Aristaeus proved itself to be too little to challenge the Oldfags. Is it even possible for a faction to do this?
